The 469 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway is “America’s Favorite Drive” and includes nearly 300 overlooks. The area in and around Banner Elk North Carolina boasts some of the most rugged and diverse landscapes along the parkway. From Linville Falls, a 150ft waterfall with 4 distinct drops, to Grandfather Mountain, the highest peak in the Blue Ridge Mountains(elevation 5,946 ft), you'll have the opportunity to photograph amazing landscapes, epic sunrises and sunsets, incredible waterfalls, and pristine mountain lakes.

This area of the parkway is home to the famous Linn Cove Viaduct, a 1,243 ft long concrete bridge that curves around the slopes of Grandfather Mountain. If you’re afraid of heights, I suggest you shut your eyes when driving over it!
